Villa Shooting of September 27, 2026
Overview
On September 27, 2026 at about 3:40 AM, 47-year-old Francis Dennis was walking along Gorden Street, Villa, when he was reportedly approached by three men dressed in dark clothing in a Silver Toyota Vitz. Francis attempted to escape as the three pursued him. Francis sustained gunshot wounds to his lower back and abdomen. Emergency Medical Services transported Francis to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre for medical treatment. Within 24 hours of the incident, investigators apprehended two male suspects.
On September 30, 2026 police arrested and jointly charged Javia Peters and Saquami Christian in connection with the shooting of Dennis and two separate robberies at Ottos.
